Captain Greg
At the young age of six, Greg would sit on a pier in Lake Tahoe, California, catching trout and dragging a bacon-wrapped rock to collect crawfish. A few years later, he moved to Miami where his love for the water further evolved into his passion for fishing. Honing his angling skills in South Florida freshwater lakes and canals, he and his childhood friends would catch bass, oscars, brim and gar. It was not uncommon for he and “the boys” to drag a 12-foot jon boat with an old 9 horse power Johnson motor to the nearest canal system and be out on the water from sun up to sun down.
Once he was introduced to saltwater, his passion turned into an addiction. Starting with the basics, he learned from many experienced anglers, guides, and friends. As Greg learned more about tides, techniques, and habits of a variety of saltwater species, he named his favorites: Bonefish, Snook, Tarpon, Permit, Redfish and Tripletail. He was in love with the back country and inshore waters. The inshore fishing in Flamingo, Chokoloskee, the Florida Keys, and Southwest Florida is hard to beat, it just puts you in the right frame of mind.
