The water temperatures are slowly dropping with the winters arrival. However you can use the knowledge of your basic weather reports to your advantage. Your local paper will have water temps posted usually for the gulf around here. When a cold front is approaching that’s as warm as the water will be for a few days. If you keep an eye on it those days after, you will see the water temperature drop a few degrees. Depending on how dramatic the air temperature changes, the water will take longer to cool and longer to heat back up. So give it a few days to stabilize and as soon as you see that water temperature move in a warmer direction, you better get out and enjoy a day of catching
